Peel Children’s Centre is looking for a committed and passionate Child & Youth Worker with an interest in mental health to provide services to children and youth in residential and day treatment environments in the Caledon area.
Reporting to the Supervisor – Millieu programs, the Child and Youth Worker (Float) will play an important role in the implementation of treatment plans while ensuring the safety and well-being of all clients. The incumbent will require familiarity with trauma informed care and attachment.
The Child and Youth Worker (Float) will provide support to Peel Children’s Centre’s Caledon Residential and Day Treatment sites.
Shifts will be assigned by the Supervisor and will include day shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM and evening shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM at any of the organizations programs in Caledon. As the Residential Programs operate 24 hours a day 7 days a week, shifts may be scheduled during the week or on weekends.
This is an 8 month contract position from August 2020 until March 31, 2021 with a semi-monthly salary of $1,898.00
The compensation package also includes an additional 4% of base salary in lieu of vacation and 4% of base salary to compensate for benefits.
